Introducing TEX-GHS The Texas Global Health Security Innovation Consortium
A message from our partners at the Austin Technology Incubator (ATI)
Colleagues,We know that many of you are working on innovations and technologies to address the current COVID-19 pandemic and global health security in the future. There has been an incredible response from our community to address short-term priorities like the production and distribution of personal protective equipment. It is also important for our community to support those intermediate and long-term initiatives underway within our innovation ecosystem. In recognition of the need to provide a coordinated response that supports innovations targeting global health security, we have formed the Texas Global Health Security (TEX-GHS) Innovation Consortium. TEX-GHS is a consortium organized by The University of Texas at Austin between academia, public sector, and private sector partners that will coordinate efforts to support companies working on intermediate and long-term solutions to address pandemic preparedness and response.
Tell us about your global health security innovation and what you need to make it succeed.
The goal is to coordinate existing resources in the Austin innovation ecosystem and to develop additional capacity to expedite research, development, and commercialization at the intersection of global health security and technology. Many of you are in need of (or would benefit from) funding support, specialized resources or materials, subject matter expertise, industry partnerships and collaborations, etc. Our first goal for the TEX-GHS Innovation Consortium is to compile a database of those needs for companies that are interested in having your efforts presented on a public website and accompanying marketing material. If this describes you or your company, please indicate your interest by completing this form.Sincerely,Lisa
