TEXGHS Virtual Launch Oct. 6th
When the world shut down in March, there were 2 buckets of people that materialized in my world... the innovators that stopped what they were doing and directed their work towards contributing to a solution, and the ones that offered up their expertise, facilities, and time to support the first group. It was really very inspiring to see how nimble and how generous our community is! The challenge was how to put to use the helpers and their resources in a way that impacts and accelerates the work of the innovators. What was born from that effort is Texas Global Health Security Innovation Consortium (TEXGHS). TEXGHS is a large (and growing daily!) group of people in Central Texas that want to ensure that we, not only get through this pandemic, but become better prepared for inevitable future pandemics. This incredible group has volunteered their time and their expertise to form this consortium that is gaining recognition globally, and whose mission is to spearhead the creation and success of a health security innovation ecosystem in Texas where equitable, inclusive solutions launch locally and grow globally. Please plan to attend the TEXGHS inaugural event on Oct. 6th. There will be an impressive lineup of speakers, and it’s a great way to catch a glimpse and get involved.
